“The church does not have a religious education program... It is THE program."
Maria Harris

Parents are the primary educators in the faith.
Together with them, especially in certain cultures, all members of the family play an active part in the education of the younger members.

Traditional Religious Faith Formation

Sessions geared to children are offered beginning in first grade and continue through high school. Sacramental preparation for First Communion begins in grade one leading to children's participation in Holy Eucharist in the spring of second grade. Children must be enrolled in religious education prior to entering into the Confirmation Program.

The traditional style of religious education for grades 1-8 at our Middleborough location will be discontinued as of May 2010. Faith formation for grades 1-8 will be offered through the Generations of Faith program.

The Confirmation Preparation program consists of two years, usually during grades 9 and 10. Students preparing for Confirmation participate in regular classroom sessions, day retreats, overnight retreats
and complete a service project.
